The PPPM Story
PPPM was created from a shared passion for supporting physiotherapists working in women’s and pelvic health.
After years of mentoring clinicians, founders Bec and Karina noticed a common challenge — many physios completed formal training only to feel uncertain and unsupported once they returned to the workplace. While postgraduate courses provided strong foundations, there was often little structured guidance to help apply that knowledge in real-life practice.
Some clinicians lost confidence. Others had to seek out clinics with experienced staff just to access the support they needed.
PPPM was developed to bridge that gap — offering ongoing mentoring, practical support, and real-world guidance to help pelvic health physiotherapists build confidence, grow their skills, and thrive in their careers.
Our goal is simple: to empower physios to deliver high-quality care and feel truly supported in doing the work they love.
From clinic to community
PPPM was founded by Karina and Bec, the team behind the well-established Melbourne Pregnancy and Pelvic Physio (MPPP) — a boutique clinic in Melbourne’s north-west specialising in pregnancy and pelvic health physiotherapy.
Since opening in 2017, MPPP has expanded to three locations, added a dedicated exercise studio, and grown to a team of over 20 passionate staff. Their commitment to quality care was recognised when MPPP was named a state finalist in the 2022 Telstra Best of Business Awards.
PPPM — a purposeful reverse of MPPP — is the next step in their mission. By creating a supportive, expert-led mentoring space for pelvic health physiotherapists, PPPM helps practitioners grow in confidence, build rewarding careers, and make a lasting difference in the lives of their clients.
